By becoming a certified TACT Self Defense Instructor you join a family of supportive and trained instructors who knows what works on the streets but also on what works in a self defense business, securing your dreams of becoming a successful self defense instructor and school owner. We give you a step by step instructor manual on what to teach, how to teach it so you build a self defense business that works predictably, effortlessly and profitably each and everyday so you’re business works for you instead of you working for it.

Who can teach this self defense system?
Anyone can teach this easy yet effective system. This system involves natural instinctive movements which are similar in movement from one another that anyone can teach, retain and perform regardless of there size, sex, strength or athletic ability.
If I attend can I fail?
This course is not about passing or failing. It's about learning and growing. The structure and conditions are in place to ensure proper standards, quality assurance and correct application of the TACT Self Defense System.
After the course is complete there is an evaluation and if any changes or corrections need to be made or reworked you will be given instruction and guidance in how to do so. You will also be given an instructor manual and access to the TACT Online Instructional Training Center Course when sending in your deposit fee which we highly suggest you look over well in advance to become familiar with our training methods.
Having said that if you still need extra attention on learning the course we will take extra time with you so you become up to the level of TACT's quality assurance standards.
When and where does training take place?
The Instructor Certification Course will be for an entire weekend on a date that which suits you best at the TACT Self Defense Training Center which is located inside my private residence in Vancouver BC, Canada. All participants must attend the entire 2-day, intense16 hour course to receive their certification certificate. The instructor’s course is a one on one with myself Norm Bettencourt the creator and founder of the TACT Self Defense Street Fighting System.
What is the cost?
The total fee for the 2-day course is $2000.00 USD. This amount includes the following.
2 days hands on tactical training
A copy of TACT Self Defense's Business Outline, Protocols & Instructor Manual
Life time access to the TACT Self Defense Online Instructional Course which includes audio, video, photos and special reports and TACT's entire training system
Instructor forum support
You will be featured on our Certified Instructors page on the TACT Self Defense site
Travel, food and lodging not included. Payment for the Instructor Certification Course must be paid in full prior to the start of official training.
*After certification instructors contribute either a $42 monthly affiliation/license fee or a $504 once a year payment fee that provides use of the TACT Self Defense Street Fighting Systems name and logo to promote there programs and schools. There is no additional per student or monthly fees regardless of how many students you have.
Those running seminars outside of regular classes or course offerings or if you only teach seminars please note the following. Seminars based on concepts/research from the TACT Self Defense Street Fighting System that are outside normally scheduled events that you charge tuition are handled as follows.
Each TACT Instructor is allowed a monthly $500 credit towards seminars. Anything made above the $500 is subject to a 15% (gross revenue) payment to TACT Self Defense Street Fighting Systems.*

What happens after becoming a certified instructor?
We provide detailed service and support to you in the form of giving you detailed lesson plans, access to TACT's Online Instructional Course which has every TACT technique and training method inside, forum access to answer any of your immediate questions.
What should I bring?
An open mind, a desire to learn and grow. Bring pen and lots of paper to take notes, water bottle, towel, shoes or combat boots, jeans or camo pants that you do not care if they become damaged. No gi or martial arts uniforms.
How do I get started?
- Secure your slot with a non-refundable $1000.00 USD deposit (post dated check dated on the date of your training) that secures you a spot to the 2-day certification weekend course. In case of cancelation your deposit will not be refunded to you.
- You will then be sent an email with a username and password that gives you access to the TACT Online Instructional Course website which includes special reports, audio, photos and video teaching you the complete TACT Self Defense System.
- On the day of the course your post dated check will be returned back to you and you will then pay the full tuition in cash.
